Institute Garden

Self and group experiences in nature

The goal: to connect people - with themselves, with each other and with nature

The Institute for Compassion has leased a plot of land in the Handschuhsheim district of Heidelberg, which is intended to enable a wide variety of people to experience nature themselves and in groups.

To experience oneself in nature, to be active and, moreover, to experience something together in a group can contribute considerably to a mindful approach to oneself, to others and to nature. In the "Institute Garden" there is not only tinkering and gardening, the focus is on learning together and learning from one another. In addition to classic learning experiences in landscaping, gardening and healthy eating, projects in the context of timber construction and handicraft are also possible.

A target group are primarily people with physical and mental impairments. In addition, projects in the "Institute Garden" with school classes and senior groups are possible, or the encounter between these different groups.
